From a small storefront in Georgetown in 1987 to homegrown brands and international partnerships, Dabi's has grown alongside the people of Guyana.
It started in Georgetown.
In 1987, Dabi's Variety opened its doors in Georgetown, Guyana. It was a small family-owned business with a simple focus: offer quality products at prices families could afford.
There were no house brands or manufacturing operations then. Dabi's was building its name one customer at a time. The business grew steadily, driven by strong relationships and a commitment to good value.
As Guyana's needs changed, so did Dabi'. Retail expanded into importing and distribution, connecting the company with suppliers at home and overseas.

After years of bringing products to Guyana, the company saw another opportunity. Why only bring great products to the market when we could create our own?
That thinking led to NATURA, Dabi's registered trademark. The brand grew into a range of food, dairy and household products designed for everyday Guyanese homes. It reflected what Dabi's had learned over decades in business: quality matters, and so does affordability.
Soon after, MiClara Super Clean joined the portfolio, taking Dabi's into laundry care. With products like the 5 kg Laundry Powder and a 6-in-1 formula, MiClara brought the same focus on quality and value to another part of everyday life.
Growing beyond Guyana's borders.
Today, Dabi's works across importing, distribution, brand development, packaging and manufacturing. Our relationships extend beyond Guyana, including Brazil and New Zealand.
We are the sole distributor in Guyana for Fonterra's NZMP ingredients from New Zealand and Circulo products from Brazil, supplying dairy ingredients and other products to the local food industry.
These partnerships allow us to bring high quality ingredients and trusted products to Guyanese consumers and businesses, while supporting local production and innovation.

Much has changed since 1987. The small Georgetown business has grown into a company with its own brands, international relationships and expanding local capabilities.
Yet Dabi's remains a Guyanese, family-owned business. We are still driven by the same beliefs that started it all - quality, value and relationships that last.
